10 reasons to visit... Greek Islands
Mamma Mia has thrown the spotlight on the stunning Greek islands

Skopelos

The actual setting of Mamma Mia, it is a Greek island in the western Aegean sea. Skopelos is one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group. The island is east of mainland Greece, northeast of the island of Euboea and is part of the Prefecture of Magnesia, in the Periphery of Thessaly.

The length of the coastline of Skopelos is 67 km and many isolated. Due to the island's mountainous terrain most of the coast is inaccessible. But there are many beaches accessible by boat or foot-trail.
