Milia beach

... information direct from Skopelos island, N. Sporades, Greece

MILIA is on the south-western coast, on the bus route.

Geographical position Latitude : N 39,08 - Longitude : E 23,38

14 km from the town of Skopelos. A lush, shingle beach with crystal water. Well organized with sun beds, umbrellas and beach bar, in magnificent surrounding scenery. Milia is crowded during the high season, but if you walk towards the end of the beach, you will find a quiet cove, behind the rocks. It is well worth lingering and watching the sun setting.

The Myth: Opposite Milia beach you can see a small islet named Dasia. The legend says that a big treasure is buried there, in a deep well. If somebody wants to take the treasure he should sacrifice one of his relatives!
