Common Sparrow or House
Sparrow (Passer domesticus)
Abundant and closely
associated with human habitation, it roosts socially and is gregarious,
forming large folks often in company of other birds. Their nest is untidy,
located in holes in walls, under roofs, in bushes, etc. The Common Sparrow
or House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) and the Eurasian Tree
Sparrow (Passer montanus) are the only two sparrow species included in the
family Ploceidae. |
