The Holy Monastery of
"Evangelistria" is one of the innumerable Byzantine monuments saved in
Skopelos. What has remained from the monastery is the church and the
defensive walls. The monastery church,
honoured to the "Annunciation of the Virgin" is in the cross - in -
square with dome, without narthex. It dates to the end of 18th
century. Distance from Skopelos town: 3,5km.
