COMMENTS FROM OUR CLIENTS

Argyro Was a terrific host, Argyro & her boyfriend very kindly met me at the ferry & walked me to there great apartment thats very centrally located, only minutes from the port and the shops/restaurants etc.
They gave me lots of great local advice for food, beaches, transport.
Argyro even brought me some delicious and incredibly tasty fresh and local produce of vegetables and fruit, this was very generous.
The accommodation was exactly what I needed, cool, great yard with turtles, small kitchen I used for at least 2 meals a day and a comfy big bed.
I am very grateful for there very kind hospitality & would love to visit Skopelos and stay here again.

We spent one week in the apartment and everything was perfect. Comfortable bed (not the usual rock hard greek mattress), the kitchen had everything we needed and the garden with the sheltered sitting corner was really neat. The area around the apartment is nice and quiet although the location is just around the corner from harbour and restaurants. Extra star in the rating for the hospitality, the eggs and the fruit! Elisabeth J. (September 2013)

Secret Garden is a really nice apartment, well located in the centre of Skopelos town but far from the noise and confusion of the port area.
The house is comfortable and the garden is also a nice relaxing plus.
We had an amazing time in the island, there are heaps of activities to do and beaches to discover. :)
Finally our host Argyro was very kind and helpful before our arrival and during our staying, she provided us with many interesting information and local tips to enjoy the island even more.

Elisabetta S. (August 2013)

The apartment is really recommendable! Not only a great location, very close to everything in Skopelos, but also with the most amazingly beautiful little garden to enjoy. Argyro was very helpful with us and her father picked us up from the ferry 5 minutes walk through the narrow cobbled streets. He had left us homemade jam and eggs from his own chickens for our breakfast! The apartment itself is very nice with a basic kitchen and a lovely bedroom. We had a great time and would come back.

Dear Mimi,
Just to say a very very big thank you for such a lovely holiday. It is one of the nicest holidays we have ever had and your hospitality was wonderful. We hope we will be able to come back one day. The journey home was excellent and we are trying to get back to normal life again.
Best wishes Howard and Pearl (August 17, 2010)

Dear Mimi, This is just a small thank you for you and Yiannis for making this holiday a wonderful experience. We hope to see you again  - soon. Love and best wishes, Ann and Robert Allen

Dear Mrs. Rekkas, Just a little note to say how much we enjoyed our holiday. I used some of your lovely sage on Sunday when cooking our chicken for dinner. The weather here has been cold and wet since we arrived back and we think about the lovely sunshine we left behind and long to be sitting on the harbour front sipping coffee watching the world go. Look forward to seeing you again in the not to distant future. Regards, Diana and Peter Parnel

Dear Mimika and Yiannis, Today especially we are thinking of you and Skopelos so much. Today we have the day of all Saints here in Sweden and it reminds us of our first day on our vacation. It was such a lovely week and both of you were so kind to us... Love from Mats and Carin

Yiannis and Mimika, Thank you very much for your hospitality during our stay in your apartments. Best wishes Geof S. and Diana

Dear Yiannis and Mimi, It was so nice to see you again last week, as we have such happy memories of our holiday with you in 1989. It was lovely to sit in your beautiful garden and to meet Katerina. Your brochure is very informative and we will certainly pass it on to as many people as we can. With kind thoughts and many thanks Brian and Elaine C.

Dear Mimi, How are you?  The olives we brought back were wonderful.  I wish we could buy such good ones here!  We miss Skopelos and your lovely house and garden very much and look forward to the chance to visit again. I hope you are all well. Carolyn sends her regards. Yours sincerely, Richard D.

Dear Mrs. Rekkas, Just a quick note to say "THANK YOU" for our fantastic holiday in Skopelos. We really had a wonderful time, exactly the kind of holiday we needed.  It was also lovely to have spent the evening with you & your family. Kindest Regards, Anita & Neil

Hello Mimi, I just wanted to thank you for making our holiday so successful. The apartment and garden are the perfect place to relax and still be near everything - yet so quiet and peaceful, just a hundred meters from the busy centre. Wonderful! Sorry we did not see you on our departure morning which was a bit rushed as we found it hard to sleep and woke late. We also had to be at the port 30mins before departure, so the ticket said, but we were almost the first there. We spent a pleasant day in Athens in spite of the high temperature and a galeforce winds. My former colleague took us to see the temple at Sounion which was a good if windy experience. We finally arrived home at around midnight on Friday. Now I just have to read 236 emails and life will be back to normal... Jean and John Croft, July 10 2000

Dear Mimi, A quick message to say thank you very much for a very pleasant stay on your beautiful island. We felt very comfortable and at home in your studio. We also had a good time in Steni Valla, the room was clean and newly decorated. We didn't have any trouble finding the place. Anyway it is back to the real work now - Claire is fortunate enough to have another few weeks off as she is a teacher and gets long holidays. Thanks again. I will definitely recommend your accommodation to family and friends. With kind regards, Christopher Ireson, August 16 2000

Hi Mimi ! Sorry we didn't have a chance to talk with you before we left. However, we want to thank you for everything. Hayuta and I had a wonderful time. Truly special. Can't begin to tell you haw we enjoyed the island and its beaches, the drives, our swims, the cottage and, why, so much. So we will hopefully keep in contact. Depending on the year let us know the availability of the cottage for next September. Again, thank you for everything. Regards to Yanni. And we hope your friend is all right.

All the best, Jack and Hayuta, October 30 2000

Dear Mimi, We just wanted you to know that the wonderful holiday we had on Skopelos has stayed with us in a magical way.  Instead of feeling that it was ages ago, as is usual after a holiday, we are continuing to enjoy it and to feel strengthened and relaxed by it, despite the difficult times we are going through here at the moment.  It is a very wonderful and unexpected bonus from what really was a very special week, and your warmth and hospitality were definitely a large part of it. So thanks once again, and best wishes for a wonderful New Year. The Brice family, January 24 2001

Hello Mimi, I wanted to tell you what a lovely holiday I had and to thank you and Yiannis for all of your kindness. I especially enjoyed the time we spent at "Nastas", and the lovely meal we had. Yiannis gave me a bottle of Skopelos oil as I was leaving on the Friday (which is lovely by the way) - do tell him that I owe him lots of "tsipouro" next time I visit. Hope all is going well with your move into the shop premises and that the landlord has seen sense over bathroom/rent etc. Give my love to everyone. Best wishes, Ann Allen, June 13 2001

Dear Mrs Rekkas, We had a wonderful holiday at your town flat with our daughter and her friend. We particularly enjoyed your beautiful garden which was very quiet & peaceful and you would not believe that it is literally three minutes walk to the harbour front and the buses to the beaches. It was really very much like living in someone's home with individually chosen bath towels, beach parasols & mats, books and magazines (and even a television). Many thanks. Sandra and David, September 16 2001

Dear Mimi, Thank you very much for a lovely week spent in your apartment.  I hope we left everything as it should be. We really loved Skopelos and have already recommended it to our friends. We spent our last day on Skiathos and both agreed that we had made the right choice, taking the Dolphin on to your lovely island.  You never know, we may even come back again. Say hello to Web for us. Best wishes, Jacqui Duggan and Vikash Chudasama, July 02 2002

Yiannis and Mimika, Hero and Catarina, A short note to say thank you for a most pleasant stay. Your kindness and hospitality added to the beauty of the Island. Thank you, see you soon.

Keith, Maureen, Rudy, Yvonne

Dear Mimi, Yiannis, Hero and Katerina, Thank you for making our holiday in Skopelos such a memorable one. We have all appreciated your concern in taking care of our needs, especially Raoul. Your garden apartment was a wonderful way to relax and start our holiday. With fond memories. Regards Rajni, Michael, Raoul

Mrs. Rekkas, Many thanks for the lovely house and Island. Pat and Jeff K.

Dear Mimi, We wanted to say thank you so much for all you have done. We have had a super holiday. You have been very helpful and kind and made us really welcome. (We did go to Paloukia at dawn and Glisteri, Vathias and Kalogeros.) Thanks again, Rachel and Duncan

Mimi, I have been meaning to EMAIL you to thank you very much for all the arrangements, both transport and accommodation. We all had a wonderful time on Skopelos and look forward to coming again. I have been telling all my colleagues about it, and I am handing out some of your brochures. The hotel in Arkitsa was very nice. Georgios was very friendly and helpful, arranging for someone to take us out to the bus stop on the main road when we were leaving, and generally ensuring that we were happy. I am sure you can feel confident in recommending his hotel to your other guests in future. We had an excellent view of the eclipse there, made more spectacular by a superb pinhole-camera effect under a vine-covered patio area - effectively we saw hundreds of projected suns on the ground !! Once again, thank you very much for your friendly welcome and help. We both look forward to seeing you in the future. Hugh and Elaine

Mimi Rekkas, Thanks for all your help and kindness. Sadly we are all getting back into the routine of everything but also revitalized. Thank you also for the sage and the bay leaves. We have lots of wonderful memories especially of the walks, the almond trees, figs, plums, olives etc and the crystal clear water, and the huge number of churches and monasteries. I've started feeling quite nostalgic already. Perhaps we can visit you once again in the not to distant future.

Regards, Phill, Patrice, Tom, Sam, and Patrick Hoare

I am just writing to thank you for helping to make our holiday so wonderful. Both Keith and myself enjoyed staying at the studio and meeting you and your family. I'm only sorry that we couldn't have stayed longer, but maybe next year. Well, it is back to work for us now. Our time in Skopelos is just fond memories. Take care, Ann Ledson

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Rekkas, As you know we have slipped away on the early ferry, so this is just to say thank you for letting us rent your place -you 're very lucky to live in such beautiful surroundings- we could all happily stay here a lot longer. Once again, thanks very much. Fiona and David, August 12 2000

Dear Mimi, Keith and I would like to thank you and Yiannis for your hospitality during our stay at the Studio. Once again we had a really great holiday. Very restful, just what we needed to re-charge our batteries for the winter months ahead!! Give our love to Hero, Katerina and your mother. Take care. Regards Ann, October 23 2000

Dear Mimi, We have been home for a couple of weeks now, and we are beginning to come to our senses..... Our stay in Skopelos fulfilled our expectations 100 per cent. And it was of course very nice to finally meet you, I hope we didn't interrupt your Easter preparations too much. We were at the 3rd church both on Good Friday and on Saturday. The Epitaph's procession was very lovely. We have started to make pages about our stay and hope to publish them soon. I see you have been out taking photos of wild flowers for Skopelos.net, for some reason we came home with a lot of photos of that too.... It was absolutely fascinating to see such a lot of wild flowers, both on Skopelos and on the mainland. We'll include some photos of them too! After having visited you and studied the photos on the net I have come to the conclusion that your flat and studio must be in your house that we visited, is that correct? In that case it is the most perfect location, and I will book very early if we should wish to rent it some other time! We have not decided what to do about summer holidays yet, after a lot of holidays in Greece we might do something different this summer. But we surely will be back at Skopelos one day. Take care and give our love to your husband and children.

Best regards, Hilde and Helge, April 30 2001

The photos look great!! We have a few others that we must send you. I took a great shot of the town on the morning that we left - with the sun rising - beautiful!! Mimi - we had such a great time on Skopelos!! I'm not sure when but I do hope to return. The place and the people are so beautiful. Thank you for all of your help and for making our trip special. Keep in touch - let me know how you all are doing - and how your new office works out. Take care. Yasas (Is that right??) Heather Levitt, June 25 2001

Dear Mimi, Now that we are back to the land of rain and wind, Jean and I would like to thank you for the time we spent in your delightful apartment in Skopelos. We had splendid weather and a really relaxing time- just a pity that we could not stay for longer! Sorry we did not see you again before we left, though we did see Yiannis from time to time around the town. With best regards to you and your family.

John and Jean, October 2 2001
